Thanks Chuck! If you read/listen to "Pillars" you won't be sorry. I am also a fan of "The Time Traveler's Wife" though as I recall, it did take a bit of getting used to.

Love this blog concept, Diane! Dug did a great job on the design. And it's great to hear the comments of someone I respect on books they've read. I NEVER take the time to sit down and read...but I do love listening to audiobooks (while I work, drive and fall asleep...not all at the same time!). I have a membership with Audible, and I get an audiobook for about 15 bucks a month. So far, I've gotten 1776 (good) and the Einstein biography (decent, but way too much about one guy's brain) and The Time Traveler's Wife (I haven't gotten that far into it yet, but it was narrated by a girl I dated back in HS). I had been considering getting Pillars of the Earth last month, and then just saw it on your Best Books Ever list. I hadn't read any of his stuff, but I knew Follett was well-respected...and I saw all or part of the movie for Eye of the Needle years ago. Now, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing with THIS month's Audible credit. ;-)
