I wasn’t in a political mood when I picked up “Run” by Ann Patchett but I quickly found that I didn’t need to be. While this likely won’t make it onto my “favorite books of all time” list, it was an interesting, well-written family drama that I enjoyed. The characters were likeable (which, in my opinion, is critical) and easy to relate to.

If you liked the ”The Mermaid Chair” or “The Time Traveler’s Wife”, you’ll probably like “Run.
