Need a laugh? “Bridget Jones” is here for you
I will admit that I am a Chick Lit fan. That’s largely due to “Bridget Jones’ Diary” by Helen Fielding, one of the best examples of Chick Lit ever. I just finished re-reading it again and it’s the perfect pick me up to a bad mood day.
While it’s really perfect for Anglophiles and female Singletons, anyone will likely find something to laugh at in the book. It’s also MUCH better than the movie, so if you’ve only seen the movie (and if you thought it was even remotely funny), by all means, get the book.
This book is perfect for: crazy cat ladies, married women longing for the single life, men who want to understand women, teens over 16.
If you liked “Bridget Jones”, you’ll also like: “The Boy Next Door” by Carole Matthews, “Naked” by David Sedaris, almost anything by Laurie Notaro.
Don’t bother reading the “Olivia Joules” series (also by Ms. Fielding). “Bridget” is vastly superior.
