What Diane's Reading

Not “Now”

April 21st, 2008 by Biblioholic

“The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle is, in my opinion, lame. I don’t usually review books that I don’t finish, but this was so painful to read even a portion of that I feel I must warn others before they go down the “dark parth”.

Tolle has become wildly popular lately promoting his new book “The New Earth” on Oprah. I haven’t read it, though I did just get it from the library. After “Now”, I must admit I’m somewhat reluctant to read “Earth” but I’ll give it a try in the hopes that the ”New” might be better than the “Now”.

If you’re into New Age type philosophy, I would recommend, “Peace is Every Step” which is an EXCELLENT book on meditation and mindfullness. “The Tao of Pooh” is another favorite of mine.
