I thoroughly enjoyed “The Devil Wears Prada” (book is better than the movie, as usual). Perhaps that’s why it took me a while to pick up “The Nanny Diaries“. I haven’t seen the movie, but the book is essentially the same as “Devil” in a different industry.That’s not to say that it’s bad. It’s actually hilarious in some parts, if a bit predictable. If nothing else, it will certainly drum up sympathy for the myriad of women (and men) who enter the child care industry with high hopes only to end up frustrated by parents who seem to want their children to grow up spoiled and insecure.

If you have a nanny, you should read this book, if only to know what some think of their customers.
